Central Bhutan - 7 Days

Day 1:

Arrival in Paro - Transfer to Thimphu

Begin your adventure with a scenic drive from Paro to Thimphu, Bhutan's capital. Explore the King's Memorial Chorten, a focal point of daily worship for the locals.
Visit Tashichho Dzong, a stunning example of Bhutanese architecture and the seat of government.



Day 2:  

Cultural Exploration in Haa

Discover the Buddha Dordenma Statue, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu Valley.
Explore the Folk Heritage Museum and National Textile Museum to learn about Bhutanese living traditions.
Evening free to explore Thimphu's markets and culinary scene.



Day 3: 

Thimphu to Punakha

Journey to Punakha via the beautiful Dochula Pass, stopping to admire the 108 chortens and the Himalayan views.
Explore Punakha Dzong, a masterpiece of Bhutanese architecture, beautifully located at the confluence of two rivers.
Evening leisure or a walk through Punakha's serene environment.



Day 4: 

Punakha to Phobjikha Valley

Travel to the serene Phobjikha Valley, a glacial valley on the western slopes of the Black Mountains. Visit Gangtey Goemba, a 17th-century monastery with stunning valley views. Enjoy a nature walk in the valley, home to the rare Black-Necked Cranes in winter.



Day 5:

Phobjikha to Bumthang

Early morning drive to Bumthang, the spiritual heartland of Bhutan, with stops at scenic and cultural points of interest along the way. Visit Jambay Lhakhang and Kurjey Lhakhang, significant for their historical and spiritual importance. Evening at leisure in Bumthang, exploring the town or relaxing.



Day 6:

Bumthang Exploration and Return to Paro

Morning visit to the Tamshing Lhakhang, known for its ancient murals and religious artifacts. Take a flight back to Paro in the afternoon. Prepare for the next day's hike with a leisurely evening in Paro.



Day 5:

Hike to Taktsang Monastery and Departure

Early morning hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), a spiritual journey offering stunning views and a profound sense of peace. Return to Paro for any last-minute exploration or shopping. Departure from Paro International Airport, enriched by the cultural and spiritual experiences of central Bhutan.
