Day 1:

Arrival in Paro - Transfer to Bumthang

Start your journey with a domestic flight from Paro to Bumthang, diving directly into the spiritual heartland of Bhutan. Spend the day exploring Jakar Dzong and the sacred Jambay Lhakhang.
Evening at leisure in Bumthang, perhaps enjoying a traditional meal or exploring the town.



Day 2:  

Bumthang Cultural Exploration

Visit the Kurjey Lhakhang, where Guru Rinpoche left his body imprint, and Tamshing Lhakhang, known for its ancient Buddhist paintings. Explore the local markets and artisan shops, getting a feel for the region's crafts and daily life.
Enjoy the serene landscapes of Bumthang through a leisurely evening walk.



Day 3: 

Bumthang to Mongar

Begin your journey to Eastern Bhutan with a scenic drive to Mongar, experiencing the dramatic changes in vegetation and landscapes. Stop at various viewpoints to soak in the breathtaking views of the eastern Himalayas. Evening arrival in Mongar, with time to relax and prepare for the exploration ahead.



Day 4: 

Mongar to Trashigang

Morning visit to Mongar Dzong, a newer dzong that maintains traditional Bhutanese architectural styles. Travel to Trashigang, the largest district in Bhutan, known for its bustling market and vibrant culture. Explore Trashigang Dzong, strategically located overlooking the Drangme Chhu River.



Day 5:

Trashigang - Day Excursion to Trashiyangtse

Take a day trip to Trashiyangtse, famous for its wooden bowls and traditional Bhutanese paper making. Visit Chorten Kora, an important stupa in eastern Bhutan, and the Trashiyangtse Dzong. Return to Trashigang for the evening, experiencing the local lifestyle and cuisine.



Day 6:

Trashigang to Bumthang

Begin your return journey to Bumthang, stopping at scenic spots and local villages along the way. The drive back offers a chance to reflect on the unique culture and landscapes of eastern Bhutan. Evening at leisure in Bumthang, perhaps enjoying a traditional hot stone bath.



Day 7:

Bumthang to Paro - Taktsang Monastery

Take an early flight back to Paro, preparing for the hike to Taktsang Monastery. The hike to Taktsang is a spiritual journey, offering stunning views and a profound sense of peace at Bhutan's most iconic monastery. Spend your last evening in Paro, relaxing or exploring the town.



Day 8:

Paro town and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast in Paro, with time for any last-minute activities or shopping. Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, enriched by the diverse experiences and spiritual insights from your journey through Eastern Bhutan.
