Day 1:

Flight to Bumthang

Depart from Paro on a domestic flight to Bumthang, offering aerial views of Bhutan's rugged terrain. Upon arrival, visit Jakar Dzong, the "Castle of the White Bird," that dominates the Chamkhar valley. Evening leisure exploring Jakar town, getting a feel for local life in Bhutan's spiritual center.

Day 2:  

Sacred Sites of Bumthang

Explore Jambay Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in the kingdom, said to be founded by a Tibetan king in the 7th century. Visit Kurjey Lhakhang, where Guru Rinpoche left his body imprint on a rock, and Tamshing Lhakhang, known for its ancient religious paintings. The evening offers a chance to relax or explore more of Bumthang's serene environment.

Day 3: 

Bumthang's Cultural Insights

Spend the day visiting local artisan shops, where you can see traditional weaving and woodworking. Explore the Bumthang Brewery and a local cheese factory to taste unique Bhutanese products.

Day 4: 

Nature and Spirituality

Embark on a hike through the Bumthang Valley, exploring its natural beauty and visiting hidden temples and meditation spots. Visit Mebar Tsho (The Burning Lake), a sacred site where treasures were discovered by the famous treasure revealer, Terton Pema Lingpa. Evening return to your hotel, with time to reflect on the day's spiritual journey.

Day 5: 

Hike to Taktsang Monastery

Take an early flight back to Paro, preparing for the hike to Taktsang Monastery. This spiritual pilgrimage is a highlight for many, offering breathtaking views and a profound sense of accomplishment. The late afternoon and evening are free for relaxation or last-minute exploration in Paro.

Day 6:

Paro town and Departure

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast and perhaps a final stroll in Paro. Transfer to Paro International Airport for your departure, taking with you the peace and spiritual insights gained from Bumthang and the unforgettable experience of visiting Taktsang Monastery.
